Aroma Coffee and Tea is located in Tujunga Village, which is a cute little area that reminds me of a small town in this crazy city.  I find this location to be a retreat where I can go with a group of friends to catch up or to get some work done.

Tony's Darts Away is a great little spot in Burbank on Magnolia.  It's a bar with a wide rang of board games for you to enjoy. The best part though is that they have vegan and non-vegan sausages which are amazing. It was a very relaxing fun night out with some good friends.

It was a great day with great people.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Pumpkin Cookies

Ingredients: 

1 cup sugar

1 cup canned pumpkin

1/2 cup shortening or soft margarine

2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup raisins, nuts, or chocolate chips

(I also like to add a tsp of vanilla)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Mix sugar, pumpkin and shortening into a medium to large sized bowl.

Next, stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

Then if you prefer add chocolate chips or whatever else you would like to add.

Last, drop dough in by teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet.  Bake until lightly brown (approx 8 to 10 minutes)

Immediately remove from sheet and let cool!

There you have pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!  

Pumpkin Cookie Glaze

Ingredients:

1/4 cup margarine

2 cups confectioner's sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 to 2 tblsp. milk

Directions:

Heat margarine over medium heat until delicate brown.  

Stir in sugar and vanilla.  Stir in milk until smooth

So I may have an addiction to Swingers Diner! The menu has a wide range from meat to vegan, which makes this a great spot to go with a group of friends.  There is something for everyone!

The Stinking Rose

The Stinking Rose is an Italian Restaurant in LA and San Francisco.  I love the 

atmosphere that they have created.  Every table has it's own tent to give you a little privacy 

from the rest of the restaurant. Plus, the food is delicious.  You can't go wrong with garlic, 

but you might want to bring mints if you are on a date. ;)
