1/2 cup     Lukewarm water
1 tsp.    Sugar
2 pkg.     Dry Yeast
Dissolve yeast, sugar in warm water in a small bowl, set aside
1 cup     Scalded Milk
1/3 cup     Margarine
1/3 cup     Sugar
2 1/2 tsp     Salt
1 tbl     Grated Fresh Lemon Rind
Add ingredients to hot milk in a large mixing bowl and cool until lukewarm
2    eggs
5 1/2 cups     Flour

Directions:
Beat in eggs and add flour.  Knead on a floured surface for 10 minutes.  Place in a bowl covered with a warm wet towel and let rise until double in bulk (about one hour).  Knead again for 10 minutes, cut in two sections and roll out each section 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.

Spread with butter, brown sugar to cover and sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped nuts.  Pecans are best but walnuts are fine too.

Roll up tightly.
Slice in 1 inch sections (be careful not to cut all the way through) arrange.
Let rise and bake in a 350 degree oven until golden brown.  Let cool to lukewarm and spread with a glaze made with a tsp. of butter, confectioners sugar and milk or orange juice.  Decorate with maraschino cherries.
